  2. Try to start Outlook in safe mode. Type “outlook.exe /safe” in your computer’s Run box. This can sometimes help to isolate a problem.
  3. Disable your anti-virus and firewall software.
  4. Make sure you are using the correct POP and SMTP servers.
  5. Check the size of your PST folder. Sometimes, when it gets too large, it can cause problems.
